We are not a recruiter

Universal Workers is an independent guide. We are not an employment agency or employment business, we hold no vacancies, we do not place candidates, and we do not accept payment from work-seekers in any circumstances. Charging a work-seeker a fee for finding them work is prohibited under UK employment agency legislation.

What our figures mean

Pay figures are indicative market ranges for a role type. They are not offers, quotes, vacancies or a guarantee that work is available at that rate.

Phase dates are the typical sequence for a project of this size, derived from publicly reported start and opening years. They are not Universal’s published programme, and we have no inside information about it.

Card and ticket costs are indicative ranges across providers and change regularly. The issuing body linked on each page is the authority, not us.

The guides are not advice

Our guides are general information, not legal, tax, financial or employment advice. Rules change and how they apply depends on your circumstances. Check the primary sources we link to or take professional advice before making a decision.

Listings and registrations

Registering an interest creates no contract and no obligation on either side. We may decline or remove any listing at our discretion, including where we believe it is inaccurate, unlawful, discriminatory, or offered by a party we cannot verify.

We are not a party to any arrangement between an employer and a worker. Satisfying yourself about who you are dealing with is your responsibility on both sides.

Fraud warning

Large, well-publicised projects attract recruitment fraud. Nobody legitimate will ask you for money to find you work, and we will never do so. See our guide to recruitment scams.

Liability

We take reasonable care to keep this site accurate but do not warrant that it is complete, current or error free. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
